David King (photo historian)

David King (born April 30, 1943 in London ; † May 11, 2016 in London ) was a British designer and photo historian. From 1965 to 1975 he was head of art at London's Sunday Times Magazine . Since then he has published numerous illustrated books. His private collection of Russian revolutionary art, with 250,000 objects - mainly posters, newspapers, pamphlets and photographs - is one of the largest and most important in the world.
