David Lawrence Pike

David Lawrence Pike (born 1963 ) is an American literary scholar.

Life

Pike studied literature and film studies at Swarthmore College , then Romance studies at Columbia University , where he received a doctorate in comparative literature . From 1993 to 1995 he was a fellow at Columbia University. In 1995 he moved to the American University in Washington, DC , where he became an Associate Professor in 2001 and Professor in 2008.

Pike has presented several studies of the city's subsurface.
