David Miller (ice hockey player)
David Engelbert Miller (born December 15, 1925 in Wilkie , Saskatchewan , † October 8, 1996 in Victoria , British Columbia ) was a Canadian ice hockey player . At the 1952 Winter Olympics , he won the gold medal as a member of the Canadian national team.
Career
David Miller began his career as an ice hockey player in various junior leagues in Alberta. He served in the Canadian Army during World War II and played ice hockey in England. With the Edmonton Mercurys he represented Canada at the 1952 Winter Olympics.
International
For Canada , Miller took part in the Winter Olympics in Oslo in 1952 , where he won the gold medal with his team. In eight games he scored ten goals and two assists.
