David Pallas (born July 7, 1980 in Spain) is a former football player of Swiss and Spanish nationality.

Life

Pallas began his youth career at FC Zurich , where he made the leap into the professional team in 2001. During the winter break of the 2004/2005 season, Pallas decided to switch to league rivals FC Thun , with whom he surprisingly qualified for the Champions League that same season. The only 1.69 meter tall right-back did not take the opportunity to play against well-known opponents such as the Thun group opponent FC Arsenal in the European "premier class" and instead switched to VfL Bochum , where a replacement for the injured right-back was urgently needed at the time Søren Colding was looking for and had just signed a fellow countryman Pallas' as coach in Marcel Koller . As a motivation for his move to Bochum, Pallas stated that he saw better prospects at the Ruhr Area Club and that financial aspects had played a minor role. After the Swiss initially played a few games for VfL, but then had to come to terms with the bench, he returned to the VfL Bochum team at the end of the second half of the 2005/2006 season. For this he played 21 league games and wore the shirt number 36. Pallas had a contract with the Ruhrpott club until 2007 with a club-side, one-year option, which was not used. After an unsuccessful search for a new professional club and training stays at FC Wil and at the training camp of the German players' union VDV in Duisburg, David Pallas has resigned from professional football. In the preliminary round of the 2014/15 season, Pallas played as a player-coach and from the second half of 2014/2015 as a coach at FC Ibach in the 2nd Inter league. At the end of the season, Pallas ended his football career as a player.
