David Roberts (Germanist)

David Roberts (* 1937 ) is an Australian literary and cultural scientist.

Live and act

Roberts (BA Oxford, Ph.D. Monash) is Professor Emeritus for German Studies at Monash University in Melbourne (Australia). His research and publication focus is in the areas of modern research, aesthetics, genre theory, critical theory with Marxist influences, systems theory and literary sociology . Roberts has been a member of the Australian Academy of the Humanities since 1986 .

He is co-editor of Thesis Eleven , a leading journal in social theory.
