David Schmoeller
David Schmoeller (born December 8, 1947 in Louisville , Kentucky ) is an American film director and screenwriter .
From 1969 to 1974 he studied at the University of Texas at Austin .
He made his debut as a director in 1976 with the short film The Spider Will Kill You . Three years later he made his first feature film, Tourist Trap , which marked his debut as a screenwriter.
In 1989 he made his most famous film, Puppet Master , which has resulted in ten sequels to date.
