action

In 1939 Andre Toulon tried to protect dolls he made, which he could bring to life with an elixir he developed himself, from the Nazis . They want to steal the elixir from him in order to use the uncanny powers that are in the elixir of life for their own machinations. Toulon has stayed in a remote hotel, but the Nazis know his whereabouts and are looking for him. When one of the dolls, Blade, tries to warn him, Toulon already knows about it. He closes the dolls and the elixir in a suitcase, which he hides in a secret wall in the hotel room. Two killers sent by the Nazis are now on their way to his hotel room. When Toulon picks up a revolver to kill himself to keep the secret, the killers storm into his hotel room and Toulon shoots himself in the mouth with the revolver.

Fifty years later, in 1989, the researcher Neil Gallagher owns the hotel and discovers the suitcase that the puppet master Toulon had hidden. He sends four friends of his, Alex Whitaker, Dana Hadley, Frank Forrester and Carissa Stamford, who are all parapsychologists, a telepathic message to take them to the old building to reveal the secret of eternal life to them.

Gallagher wants to use the elixir for himself, kill himself, and then bring it back to life. But first he tries it out on the dolls and conjures up dark forces. One after the other, Gallagher's friends are cruelly killed by the dolls with their deadly tools.

Over time, Alex Whitaker finds out with the help of Gallagher's wife that Gallagher tried the elixir on himself to become immortal and also wants to kill his wife and Alex. He misused the dolls for his murderous and insane plans. In addition, Gallagher already has his wife's parents on his conscience in order to gain access to the hotel heritage and the old puppet master's formula. When Gallagher then turns the dolls against himself, they turn away from Gallagher. Alex manages to overwhelm him and the dolls kill Gallagher with their tools.
