Irene Miracle

Irene Miracle (born January 24, 1954 in Stillwater , Oklahoma ) is an American actress and film producer .

Life and accomplishments

During a stay in Rome , Miracle met the Italian director Michelangelo Antonioni , who helped her to her first role. She made her debut in the Italian-British horror film Night Train from 1975. In the drama 12 o'clock at night - Midnight Express (1978), she starred alongside Brad Davis . For her performance in this film, she won the Golden Globe Award for Best Young Actress in 1979 .

Miracle played one of the leading roles in the horror film Horror Infernal (1980). In the horror film In the Shadow of Kilimanjaro (1986) she was seen at the side of John Rhys-Davies and Timothy Bottoms . In the science fiction horror film Puppet Master (1989) she took on one of the bigger roles.

Miracle also produced the films Bad Blood (1992), One Plus Two Equals Four (1994) and Reliable Witnesses (1998). She wrote the script of a play based on the novel The Love Artist by Jane Alison . She is planning a film adaptation that she would direct.
