Ted Nicolaou

Ted Nicolaou is an American film editor , film director, and screenwriter .

Life

Nicolaou first appeared in 1979 as an editor for the horror film Tourist Trap . This production marked the first collaboration with the director and producer Charles Band . Their cooperation lasted into the 2000s.

In 1984 Nicolaou made his debut as a director and screenwriter with the horror film Ragewar , in which other directors such as Charles Band were involved. As a director is best known for the Subspecies film series, which he began in 1990 with Servants of Evil . He directed mostly horror films, but also occasionally family films such as Dragonworld (1994). He wrote the script himself for the majority of his films, and Charles Band often appeared as a producer.
