David Speiser

David Speiser (born August 27, 1980 ) is a German snowboarder and was German champion and participant in the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin and 2010 in Vancouver .

history

David Speiser started for Germany in 2006 at the Olympic Games in snowboard cross . In August 2003 the man from Obersdorf was struggling with a dislocation of the kneecap. He could not do sports for three months and was in severe pain. A year later, his knee was still sore, but he was able to train for the Olympics again. In the 2005/06 season he was healthy again and qualified for the Olympic Games in December 2005 by placing 5th at the Snowboard World Cup in Whistler. He himself describes his participation in the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin as his greatest success.

After constant performance this season in 2006/07, he moved up to fourth place overall in the overall WC ranking. On his X-Games debut in Aspen, Colorado, in January 2008, David won the bronze medal. At the 2010 Winter Olympics at Whistler Mountain in Vancouver, Speiser was eliminated in the semi-finals and was able to finish eighth.
