David Trachsel

David Trachsel (born November 29, 1994 in Basel) is a Swiss politician ( SVP ). Since February 2020 he has been President of the Young SVP Switzerland (JSVP).

Career

Trachsel studied business administration in Basel and has been working as a trustee ever since . David Trachsel ran for the Grand Council in Basel in 2016 and was elected to the second substitute place. As an assessor, Trachsel is active on the board of the Junge SVP Basel-Stadt. In the National Council elections in 2019 , he ran unsuccessfully on the list of young SVP Basel-Stadt. In 2020 David Trachsel was elected President of the Junge SVP Switzerland to succeed Benjamin Fischer . Before that, he served as Secretary General of the Young Party for a year .
