David Young, Baron Young of Graffham
David Ivor Young, Baron Young of Graffham CH , PC , DL (born February 27, 1932 ) is a British businessman and Conservative Party politician .
Career
David Young was the Minister without Portfolio from September 11, 1984 to September 2, 1985. September 2, 1985 to June 13, 1987 Secretary of Labor ( Secretary of State for Employment ) in the government of Margaret Thatcher . He was then Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform until July 24, 1989 . In 1990 his memoir The Enterprise Years appeared . On August 10, 1984 he was promoted to Life Peer as Baron Young of Graffham , of Graffham in the County of West Sussex, and has been a member of the House of Lords ever since .
