Davide Longo

Davide Longo (* 1971 in Carmagnola near Turin , Italy ) is an Italian writer .

Life

As a young man, Longo worked as a waiter, farm worker, lifeguard and decorator while studying literature at the Turin School of Literature Scuola Holden . He also played semi-professional basketball , which is still one of his hobbies today (2012). In 2001 he published his first book Un mattino a Irgalem , the plot of which is set in the 1936 Abyssinian War .

Longo teaches at the Scuola Holden literature school and in a small town in the Roero hills . He lives in Turin.
