Daviot ( Scottish Gaelic : Deimhidh ) is a village in Aberdeenshire . It is located about 30 kilometers northwest of Aberdeen .
When the location is one of the best preserved neolithischen stone circles of the type recumbent Stone Circle (RSC) in North East Scotland.
The local mansion, the House of Daviot , is a former retirement home. Daviot itself is the Schlumberger Group's explosives manufacturing facility. The first field with genetically modified crops is located near the village.
