The Davis Saddle is an icy mountain pass in the shape of a mountain saddle on the Saunders coast of the west Antarctic Marie-Byrd-Land . It runs east of Mitchell Peak on the Guest Peninsula .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1959 to 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the saddle in 1966 after Clinton S. Davis, boatswain's mate on board the USS Glacier from 1961 operated off this coast until 1962.
