Davut Dursun

Davut Dursun (* 1953 in Borçka , Artvin Province ) is a Turkish scientist and civil servant. From July 2009 to July 2015, Dursun was Chairman of the Supreme Radio and Television Council and the Regulatory Authority and Monitoring of Radio and TV Activities in Turkey ( RTÜK ).

Dursun attended elementary school in Artvin and graduated from high school in Rize in 1977 as an external student . He studied at the University of Istanbul and graduated in 1981 from what was then the "University of Journalism and Public Relations" at the Faculty of Economics with a Bachelor's degree. Dursun obtained his master's degree in 1983 at the Institute for Political Science in the same faculty. From 1984 Dursun was a research assistant at the Uludağ University in Bursa. Dursun received his doctorate from Istanbul University in 1987. From 1988 to 1994 an intermezzo followed as a editor and author in a publishing house. During this time he received the degree of Doçent in 1992 . In 1994 Dursun taught administrative sciences at the Sakarya University , before becoming a full professor in 2005.
