Daxiangshan Grottoes

The Daxiangshan Grottoes ( Chinese  大像山石窟 , Pinyin Dàxiàngshān Shiku , English Daxiangshan Grottoes ) in the district of Gangu , prefecture-level city of Tianshui , Province of Gansu , China, a Buddhist are cave temple , the high for its over 23 m Colossus one with a mustache provided Buddha Shakyamuni is known from the time of the Northern Wei to Tang Dynasty . The Buddha figure consists of a stone core that has been modeled over with clay (Shitai nisheng Foxiang 石 胎 泥塑 佛像).

The cave temples of Shuiliandong (水帘洞, Wushan County ) and Daxiangshan have been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China in Gansu (5-469) since 2001 .
