Dead Infection ( English : Toten- infection ) is a Polish gore grind band from Bialystok . The lyrics of the band are about a. from car accidents. The texts read similarly to police reports.

history

The band was formed in 1990 under the name Front Terror . Soon after, the name was changed to Dead Infection . The British band Carcass was particularly influential in directing the music . After the two demos, the band received a recording contract with the German label Morbid Records . The 1995 album A Chapter of Accidents is about macabre and grotesque but real causes of death. Yaroslav was heard for the first time on this album. Using a “pitch shifter” made the voice sound more distorted, deeper and more monstrous. In autumn 1996 they went with Haemorrhage (Spain) and CSSO (Japan) on the tour "Grind Over Europe", which has taken place for several years since then. A long period of calm followed around Jaro and Co.

Dead Infection broke up in 1999 and reunited in 2003 and are under contract with the Obliteration Records label . The 2006 album Brain Corrosion was not commercially successful, which is why Jaro left the band. The band members Tocha and Jaro formed the Goregrind band "Coffee Grinders" during the long period of rest of the quartet, between A Chapter of Accidents and Brain Corrosion , which places more value on humorous song design and self-irony. After Jaros departure no suitable successor was found, and so it was agreed that the guitarists should take over the vocals alternately.

On February 20, 2020, drummer Slawomir "Cyjan" Cywoniuk, founding and only original member of the band, died. He was only 49 years old.
