Dead Reckoners

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dead Reckoners is a name used by a group of country music soloists in rotating line-ups at joint concerts.

In the mid-1990s , country musicians Kieran Kane , Kevin Welch , Harry Stinson , Tammy Rogers and Mike Henderson founded the independent label Dead Reckoning Records . The aim was to realize one's own musical ideas without being influenced by commercial constraints. Everyone continued to pursue their own projects. Instead of using (expensive) external session musicians, you support each other with the recordings.

Occasionally they performed together under the name Dead Reckoners . In 1997, the live album Night Of Reckoning was recorded at a concert . The new members Fats Kaplan and Alison Prestwood also took part in this recording . Harry Stinson was the executive producer. It was to remain the Dead Reckoners' only album together.
