Debenhams is a British department store chain with over 150 branches in 26 countries on three continents.

history

It was founded in 1778 and today has 165 branches (as of April 2019 before bankruptcy) worldwide. Sales in 2011 were just over £ 2.5 billion and the company employs approximately 29,000 people. The company was originally founded as Flint & Clark , and since 1813 as Clark & ​​Debenham . The headquarters are still in London .
