The debis AG is a former subsidiary of Daimler-Benz . Service functions have been outsourced to them. The name "debis" stood for "Daimler-Benz InterServices", after the merger of Daimler-Benz with Chrysler in 1998 the company added the name "DaimlerChrysler Services".

As part of the strategy of focusing on the core business, debis AG was dissolved in 2004 under the then DaimlerChrysler board chairman Jürgen Schrempp .

The Debis system house was sold to Deutsche Telekom and incorporated into the newly founded T-Systems . Debis Assekuranz Makler GmbH became part of the Ecclesia Group in 2004 and has been operating as deas Deutsche Assekuranz-Makler GmbH since then .

The name "debis" and the logo with the fanned out green cube are no longer used by DaimlerChrysler or Daimler AG, but it is still at the top of the exhaust chimney of the Tiergarten-Spreebogen tunnel . The building on Potsdamer Platz , built in 1997 as the Berlin headquarters, was called debis-Haus until 2013 .
