December is an American band from Reno , Nevada formed in 1994. Their music can be described as a mixture of metal and grindcore .

history

The band was formed in 1994. In 1996 followed their debut album Rise of the Fall , which the band released without the support of a label. The next album followed with Praying, Hoping, Nothing in 1999. The album was released through Inzane Records . In 2002, The Lament Configuration was released through Earache Records . The album was produced by Devin Townsend . When recording, the band consisted of singer Mark Moots, guitarist Julian Peach, bassist Asa Dakin and drummer Jason Thomas. In 2003, the album Praying, Hoping, Nothing was re-released via Earache Records.

Singer Mark Moots left the band in late 2003 and was replaced by Eric Dellon in spring 2004.
