Laura Dijkema (born February 18, 1990 in Assen ) is a Dutch volleyball player .

Career

Dijkema started her career with Smash Beilen . She then played for DOK Dwingeloo before moving to the German club SCU Emlichheim . After her return to the Netherlands, she was initially active at Abiant Lycurgus Groningen . In 2010, the setter won the national championship and cup double with TVC Amstelveen . In the same year Dijkema, who had reached sixth place in the U19 World Cup with the juniors, was used for the first time in the senior national team. At the World Championships in Japan she was there as a replacement for Kim Staelens as well as at the European Championships in 2011 .

After the European Championship Dijkema came to the German Bundesliga club VfB 91 Suhl . In 2012/13 she played for league rivals USC Münster . She then moved to Halkbank Ankara in Turkey .

After one season Dijkema returned to the Bundesliga and played for Dresdner SC . In 2015 and 2016 she was able to successfully defend his title in the German championship. In 2016, she continued to win the German Cup with Dresdner SC. In May 2016, Dresdner SC announced the departure of Dijkema.
