The Deception Glacier is a glacier in East Antarctica, Victoria Land . It flows between the Warren Range and the Boomerang Range to the Mulock Glacier .
The New Zealand crew in the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1955-1958) named it after the English word for deception , because it apparently leads to the Skelton Firnfield , but in fact flows south.
