Dedo von Krosigk (Teto de Crozuc, Dedo von Wettin) probably lived as early as 1040, came from the Franconian nobility (see Krosigk (noble family) ) and built the Krosigk castle in the Saalekreis . There he gave in 1116 to Wiprecht III, who was fleeing from Emperor Heinrich V. , Son of the incarcerated and expropriated Wiprecht von Groitzsch , refuge.

Krosigk married Bia von Harbke , daughter of Eckbert von Harbke and the widow Amulrada (or Amelrada) von Ammensleben . The son Guncelinus and the daughter Mathilde (or Mechtilde) emerged from Krosigk's marriage. Mathilde married Werner II von Veltheim, grandson of Adalgot von Veltheim .
