Wiprecht III. from Groitzsch
Wiprecht III. von Groitzsch , the younger (around 1088; † January 27, 1116 ) was the eldest son of Count Wiprecht II von Groitzsch .
As Wiprecht III. 1110 tried to reinstate his uncle Bořivoj II as a Bohemian duke, he fell out of favor with Henry V and was arrested together with Bořivoj at Hammerstein Castle on the Rhine. Against the return of the Gaue Nisani and Budissin as well as the Lordship of Leisnig and Morungen , his father bought him free again.
In 1116, on the run from Heinrich V, he was turned away by his uncle, the Magdeburg Archbishop Adalgot , and found refuge with Dedo von Krosigk .
