Degaña is a parroquia and at the same time the capital of the municipality of Degaña in the Autonomous Community of Asturias in northern Spain .
The 359 inhabitants (2011) live in three villages on an area of 46.64 km² at an altitude of 1239 m above sea level .
The local recreation area "Area recreativa Puerto Degaña" at an altitude of 1,341 m above sea level on the pass Puerto de Degaña ( 42 ° 57 ′ 17 ″ N , 6 ° 26 ′ 23 ″ W ) is of great importance not only in the Parroquia.
