Deimos-2 is an earth observation satellite from the Spanish company Deimos Imaging and the successor to Deimos-1 .

On June 19, 2014 at 19:11 UTC it was brought into sun-synchronous orbit by a Dnepr launcher from the Jasny Cosmodrome together with 36 other satellites .

The three-axis stabilized satellite is equipped with a four-channel multispectral camera called High Resolution Advanced Imaging System with a resolution of 0.75 m panchromatic and 4 m multispectral and a swath width of 12 km. It was based on the SI-300 - satellite bus the South Korean SATREC built and owns electric engines with 7 mN thrust for orbit control. The power supply is provided by solar cells with a total output of 450 W.
