The Deister-Anzeiger is a regional supplement of the Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung (HAZ) and the Neue Presse (NP) and belongs to the Madsack home newspapers of the Madsack publishing company . It appears in tabloid format as a local newspaper in the newspaper every day from Monday to Saturday. The core distribution area includes Springe and Bad Münder , but the Deister-Anzeiger radiates into the Weser Uplands . The titles of the so-called Deistercharts are played on the company's own chart radio on the Internet.

history

The first edition of the Deister Scoreboard appeared on January 7, 1969. All reports were concentrated on one large newspaper page. The previous paper was entitled "Deister-Rundschau" or "Around Hanover".

The first Deister-Anzeiger as a multi-page regional edition appeared on February 17, 1970. From December 1970, however, readers had the Weser-Deister-Anzeiger in their hands - not to be confused with the Leine-Weser-Anzeiger, from which the Hameln reporting of the Deister edition came from. The administrative and territorial reform was also reflected in the newspaper. Since January 1975, “Rund um Hannover” has appeared in the larger, so-called Nordic newspaper format. In February 1975, the name of the local supplement was changed to Landkreis-Zeitung Süd and Landkreis-Zeitung West. From November 1982 both went their own way. The Deister-Anzeiger was launched again on January 2, 1989. The district newspaper Süd concentrated on the area from Laatzen to Alfeld .

Up until the 1980s there were only individual editorial offices. The first branch in Springe opened on the corner of Fünfhausenstrasse and Nordwall. In the mid-1990s, the editorial office moved to a high-rise on Bahnhofstrasse. From Advent 2004 the editorial office and advertising sales (since 2007 also the office) were on Springer Marktplatz.

Awards

The editorial team received several awards. Employee Canan Topçu won first prize in a competition with a text about the situation of Turkish families on the Deister. For the reports on Deisterpark Bad Münder , editor Stefan Koch took second place in the “Die Spitze Feder” competition organized by the Association of Taxpayers. In 2010 the editors of the Madsack Heimatzeitungen received a prize from the Federal Agency for Civic Education for their reporting in the run-up to the 2009 federal election . The European Newspaper Award was given together with other Madsack local newspapers, including the Deister-Anzeiger, for the concept of a local newspaper in tabloid format, for the series "Mein Ausflug", "Our Fire Brigade" and "Berufequartett" as well as for the concept of the interactive portal myheimat.de on the Internet.
