The Roman Catholic Deanery Parish Sillian sale in the Austrian municipality of Sillian in East Tyrol . The church, dedicated to the feast of the Assumption of Mary , is the seat of the Sillian deanery in the diocese of Innsbruck . The church is a listed building .

history

Altar of the church

In 1326 the church was first mentioned and in 1326 the first church was consecrated. A Gothic building existed until almost the 18th century . In 1759 was Josef Adam Mölck with the Baroque style commissioned the church. After a small interior renovation in 1951, the exterior facade was renovated in 1988, followed by extensive interior renovation in 1995–96. The slider chest organ inside the church was installed in 1985 by a South Tyrolean company. The old Sacred Heart Bell was no longer fully functional due to a crack and a new bell was installed on July 7, 2012.

The organ

The ceiling paintings and altar leaves of the church come from the Tyrolean court chamber painter Josef Adam Mölk and the 14 statues of the apostles are from the East Tyrolean sculptor Johann Paterer .
