Delisle is an impact crater on the northwestern front of the moon in the plains between Oceanus Procellarum and Mare Imbrium . It is north of Diophantus crater and east of Angstrom . In the east of the crater the lunar groove Rima Delisle and the Rupes Boris runs , in the south the Rima Diophantus . The crater rim is irregular, but only slightly eroded, the interior of the crater shows extensive landslides.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the French astronomer Joseph Nicolas Delisle .
The mountain to the west of Delisle has been called Mons Delisle since 1985 . Coordinates: 29 ° 30 'N / 35 ° 48' W. Diameter: 30 km
