Dolphins gay
Delphine Gay (born January 26, 1804 in Aachen , † June 29, 1855 in Paris ) was a French poet .
She was the daughter of Jean Sigismond Gay and Sophie Nichault de La Valette , the eldest child from their mother's second marriage. From 1831 until her death she was married to Émile de Girardin .
At the age of seventeen she made a name for herself as a poet. Her reputation was based on her poetry, which appeared as Essais poétiques (Par. 1824–26, 2 vols., And more often). She has also written novels ( Le lorgnon , Contes d'une vieille fille , Le marquls de Fontanges , Marguérite ) and plays ( Judith , Cléopâtre , Lady Tartufe , Le chapeau de l'horloger and others). Her Lettres parisiennes , which she published under the name of a Viscount de Launay in the newspaper La Presse in 1836-48 , had great success . Her Œuvres complètes appeared in six volumes from 1860 to 1861.
