Deluc is an impact crater to the south of the lunar front , northeast of the great crater Clavius and west of Lilius . The crater rim is heavily eroded and overlaid by the Deluc H secondary crater in the northeast .

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Swiss geologist and meteorologist Jean-André Deluc .
