The Demon Point is a cape of coarse boulders which the northeastern foothills of Candlemas Iceland in the archipelago of the South Sandwich Islands is. It borders Kraken Cove to the east.
British Discovery Investigations scientists named the headland Spit Point in 1930 . Because of the name duplication with the Spit Point of Greenwich Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands , this designation was discarded. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1971 after the mythological demon . Numerous other objects in the area around the headland are also named after mythological beings.
