Dengizich
Dengizich (Greek: Δεγγιζίχ, De (n) gizikh), also Dengesich or Denghizik , was one of the numerous sons of Attila , king of the Huns .
After the death of his father in 453, Dengizich was defeated by the Gepid king Ardarich in the battle of the Nedao in Pannonia , where his eldest brother, Ellac , was killed. Thereupon Dengizich withdrew with his still living brothers to the Black Sea , from where he waged war against the Ostrogoths and Romans . He besieged Bassiana in Pannonia in vain , where he was repulsed by the Ostrogoths. Together with Ernak , he tried to get contractual arrangements with Ostrom , but this failed. Dengizich was slain by the Roman general Anagast in Thrace in 469 , his head was on display in Constantinople .
