Denis Sergeyevich Biryukov ( Russian Денис Сергеевич Бирюков , English transcription: Denis Sergeyevich Biryukov ; born December 8, 1988 in Volgograd ) is a Russian volleyball player .

Birjukow began his career in 2005 in the second team of VK Lokomotiv-Belogorje . In 2006 he became European champion with the Russian junior team and a year later he was runner-up at the World Cup. In 2008/09, the outside attacker played a season for Metalurg Stary Oskol before returning to Belgorod. On September 3, 2009, he made his debut in the senior national team in the preliminary round match of the EM in Turkey against Estonia . 2010 Birjukow was with Belgorod Russian runner-up. With Russia he was in the final of the world league . In January 2011 he moved to ZSK Gazprom-Ugra Surgut , but only six months later he came to his current association, VK Lokomotiv Novosibirsk . With the national team, the outside attacker won both the World League and the World Cup in 2011 .
