Denis Shkarpeta
Denis Shkarpeta (born November 9, 1981 ) is a former Uzbek cyclist .
Denis Shkarpeta was a professional racing driver from 2002 to 2007, during which time he mainly drove for Italian teams. In 2004 he won a stage of the Giro della Valle d'Aosta and in 2005 the overall ranking of the Trofeo Torino-Biella - Giro della Provincia di Biella .
In 2006 Shkarpeta took 35th place at the Pantani Memorial . In autumn he started for Uzbekistan at the road cycling world championship in Salzburg , where he finished 37th in the individual time trial. Then he drove in the pair time trial Trofeo Città di Borgomanero together with Mauro Gerosa to twelfth place. In 2007 he ended his cycling career.
