The monument settlement is a living space within the boundaries of the Külsheimer neighborhood Hundheim in Main-Tauber-Kreis in Franconia dominated northeastern Baden-Wuerttemberg . The residential area got its name from a memorial on site that was erected for the soldiers from Baden who died in the battle near Hundheim on July 23, 1866.
geography
The monument settlement is located about one kilometer north-northwest of Hundheim. The district is drained by the Frankengraben and the Münchfeldgraben.
history
Since its creation, the history of the monument settlement has been comparable to the history of Hundheim, which includes the residential area. On July 1, 1971 Hundheim was again incorporated into the city of Külsheim.

The following small monument, which gives the name of the residential space, is located at the residential space:
- Small monument no. 23 (Hundheim): Memorial to the soldiers from Baden who fell in the battle near Hundheim on July 23, 1866; the monument was executed in sandstone by A. Ammersbach from Wertheim in 1867. On two sides of the memorial the names, place of origin and troop unit of a total of 21 soldiers who died in battle or who died as a result of the injuries are listed.
