Dennys Bornhöft (born April 2, 1986 in Preetz ) is a German politician of the Free Democratic Party (FDP) and has been a member of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament since 2017 .

Life

After graduating from high school in 2006 in Kiel - Wellingdorf , Bornhöft completed an apprenticeship in administrative management at the FHVD Altenholz from 2006 to 2009 and then from 2009 to 2012 a master's degree in European administrative management at the HWR Berlin . After working as an IT consultant at Dataport from 2009 to 2012 , Bornhöft was employed as a government councilor in the Hamburg tax authority from 2013 to 2017.

Private

Bornhöft is married to the FDP member of the Bundestag Gyde Jensen . In September 2019 he became the father of a daughter.

Volunteering

From 2012 to 2015 he was state chairman of the Young Liberals Schleswig-Holstein, since 2013 he has also been a member of the state board of the FDP. Since 2015 he has been treasurer of the fishing club “An de Waterkant 1928 e. V. "and since 2016 1st Vice Chairman of the Kiel-Starting City eV association, which wants to promote the networking of students and companies from Kiel and the surrounding area. After having been a member of the FDP district executive for several years, he has been chairman of the district association since August 24, 2019.

Member of the state parliament

On May 7, 2017, in the state elections in Schleswig-Holstein in 2017, he succeeded in entering the state parliament of Schleswig-Holstein as a member of the state list . He had also stood as a candidate in the Segeberg-Ost constituency , where he received 6.2% of the first votes. He is a member of the state parliament's social committee and spokesman for the FDP parliamentary group for the environment, fisheries, youth, start-ups, senior citizens, social affairs, health, queer and addiction.
