The Depósito del Puerto, also known as Depósito Julio Herrera y Obes , is a building in the Uruguayan capital, Montevideo .

The building, erected at the beginning of the 20th century, is located in the Ciudad Vieja on the streets Zabala and Rambla 25 de Agosto de 1825 at the port of Montevideo . Information about the architect is not available. From October 1977 to May 1979 renovation and redesign work took place under the direction of the engineer Eladio Dieste and carried out by the company Dieste y Montañez SA . The twelve-meter-high, one-story Depósito del Puerto is described as part of the characteristic port edge of Montevideo. It serves as a warehouse and covers an area of ​​4200 m². In the course of Dieste's construction work, it was provided with a vaulted roof with a double curvature made of hollow bricks .
