Deportes Palmira is a former Colombian football club from Palmira , Valle del Cauca , which played in the Categoría Primera B for one year .

history

Deportes Palmira was the successor club of the second division Girardot FC . Due to financial difficulties in Girardot , those responsible decided to move the club to Palmira.

Deportes Palmira only took part in the 2009 season. In the Hinserie the club was able to reach the group stage, but the final was missed. In the return series Palmira could not qualify for the group stage.

In early 2010 the club moved to Buenaventura due to a lack of support in Palmira and was renamed Pacífico FC , who played in the Colombian second division in the 2010 and 2011 seasons.

Stadion

Deportes Palmira played its home games at the Estadio Francisco Rivera Escobar in Palmira. The stadium has a capacity of around 9,000 seats.
