Bečov depot

The Bečov depot (also known as the Bečov hoard ) is a depot find of the Early Bronze Age Aunjetitz culture from Bečov in Ústecký kraj , Czech Republic . It dates between 2000 and 1800 BC. The depot is now in the National Museum in Prague .

Find history

The deposit was discovered before 1900, the exact circumstances of the find are unknown.

composition

The depot consists of two bronze arm spirals and a ridge hatchet . The bands from which the arm spirals were made have a lenticular cross-section with a length of 6 mm and a width of 3 mm. The two spirals are slightly faceted . Both of them have recently broken off one end. On both sides of the edge ridge ax there are clear traces of machining from a hammer.
