Find history

The depot was discovered in 1943, east of Dětenice, near the municipal boundary, by workers when a pond was being renewed.

composition

The depot consisted of 14 bronze objects that were found together with the fragments of two ceramic vessels and an animal skull. One of the vessels comes from the Middle Ages and therefore has no relation to the depot. The other is a prehistoric two-handled amphora of dark brown color. Its height was (reconstructed) 210 mm. The bronze objects are five wire arm spirals, two cylindrical arm spirals, a lance tip and six arm rings . A wire arm spiral came into private ownership, three arm rings are missing, the rest of the depot is in the Libáň Museum.
