Smederov depot
The Smederov Depot (also the Smederov hoard ) is a depot find of the Early Bronze Age Aunjetitz culture from Smederov , a district of Ždírec u Blovic in Plzeňský kraj , Czech Republic . It dates to between 1800 and 1600 BC. The depot is now in the National Museum in Prague .
Find history
The depot came to Prague piece by piece between 1863 and 1871. The exact date of discovery and the circumstances of the find are unknown. The site is in the area of the former Smederov fortress.
composition
The depot consists of 14 bronze objects : a decorated rag ax , four sickles , six chisels , a spout lance tip, a needle with a conical head and neck eyelet and a bronze fragment.
