Vestec depot
The Vestec depot (also known as the Vestec hoard ) is a depot find of the Early Bronze Age Aunjetitz culture from Vestec nad Mrlinou in Středočeský kraj , Czech Republic . It dates between 2000 and 1800 BC. The remainder of the deposit is now in the Poděbrady Museum .
Find history
The depot was discovered before 1950. The exact location and the circumstances of the find are unknown.
composition
The depot originally consisted of three solid bronze oval rings and a fragment of another. Today only the fragment remains. It was cast in a two-shell mold. A cast seam can be seen on the inside. The end obtained has grooves that were not scored until after casting. The ring is broken in the area of a cavity that may originally have been filled with a clay core.
