The Deprez Basin is an almost circular and 13 m deep basin with a diameter of around 400 m on the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . In the Vestfold Mountains it borders on Partizan Island . There is a connection to the directly neighboring Langnes Fjord via a flat and approximately 40 m wide ford . The meromictic water is anoxic from a depth of 6 m . The salt content increases from 13 grams per liter on the surface to 120 grams per liter at the bottom.

The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named the basin in 1995 after limnologist Patrick Deprez, who had been part of the winter occupation at Davis Station in 1964.
