The Langnes Fjord is a narrow fjord on the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . It lies between the Breidnes Peninsula and the Langnes Peninsula in the Vestfold Mountains .
Norwegian cartographers mapped it using aerial photographs taken during the Lars Christensen Expedition in 1936/37 . The American cartographer John H. Roscoe used aerial photographs of Operation Highjump (1946–1947) to show that the fjord is further east than originally assumed and that the fjord includes a supposedly isolated lake, which the Norwegians call Breidvatnet (German: Wide lake ). The fjord is named in connection with the peninsula of the same name.
