The Blue Angel (Film Award)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Blue Angel is a prize at the International Film Festival (Berlinale) in Berlin , which was awarded to the best European film in the competition program. The prize, which was awarded until 2005, was donated by the copyright organization AGICOA (Association de Gestion Internationale Collective des Oeuvres Audiovisuelles) and is therefore also known as the AGICOA Prize .

The lavish prize (25,000 euros) was replaced in 2006 by a "Prize for the best first work". This is donated by the Society for the Perception of Film and Television Rights (GWFF), a parent company of AGICOA Copyright Protection GmbH. This award, which is also endowed with 25,000 euros, is given by an international jury made up of three members.
