Der Handel is a business magazine for the retail industry , which is published monthly by the Deutscher Fachverlag in Frankfurt am Main .

The magazine reports on topics relevant to retail entrepreneurs . Four sections lead through the magazine: In “Industry”, relevant topics from the political environment are critically examined. “Sales” reports on marketing trends, advertising, store concepts and marketing strategies in stationary retail and e-commerce. The “Technology” section includes topics such as software for everyday business life, cash registers and office hardware. The "Practice" section offers background reports from the areas of finance, personnel and the vehicle fleet.

The trade has checked a monthly circulation of around 85,000 copies ( information community to determine the distribution of advertising media ) and takes part in the reader analysis of decision-makers in business and administration .

Etailment.de is the news platform of the business magazine Der Handel im Internet. It delivers the most important news from the retail industry every day. The editorial team of Der Handel also compiles dossiers that provide additional information on the reports in the print issue. There are also tools such as a trade fair planner and a job exchange.

Special publications

The trade regularly publishes special issues, such as the online trade magazine, which appears twice a year . The publication is aimed at dealers and manufacturers who want to start trading online or who want to expand their business on the Internet. In addition to the current trends in e-commerce, online retail deals with topics such as shop software, online marketing and law as well as logistics, fulfillment and payment methods.

Another regular special issue is Verbundgruppe & Koopeeration , the annual magazine for medium-sized cooperations.

Events

The trade is co-organizer of two congresses: PEAK - The SME Summit together with the Mittelstandsverbund and the International Fairtrade Conference (IFC) together with TransFair .
