The Mittelstand Verbund - ZGV eV (SME Groups Germany) represents the leading association of the German economy, the interests of approximately 230,000 medium-sized companies operating in some 320 trade associations from around 45 branches in the retail , wholesale , crafts , manufacturing sector as well as in the areas of services , hotel industry and health are organized.

history

Zentgeno (Central Association of Commercial Cooperatives) was founded in 1948. In the merger with the BEV (Federal Association of purchasing and marketing associations eV) in 1992, the organization was named Central Association of Commercial and marketing groups (ZGV).

The association belongs to the German Cooperative and Raiffeisen Association and the Charter digital network association. V. at.

Via a sister company founded in 2002, ServiCon Service und Consult eG , members of the SME group receive support in purchasing negotiations , logistics , IT , financial services, consulting, marketing , shop fitting and other topics. In addition, ServiCon offers its members general conditions in the areas of telecommunications, automobiles and insurance, among other things.

In 2011 the club was renamed and given its current name. In doing so, the association is pursuing the goal of placing small and medium-sized enterprises even more prominently and more at the center of the trade.

Three state associations are assigned to the Mittelstandsverbund as employer organizations.
